Hi, I'm Ame! Welcome to my place. I love to write, and so I blog. I have been blogging for five years now although this is the only blog I still have around.

I was married for 20 years to a man who made disintegrating choices. With him I had two incredible daughters. Oldest is 13 and will be in 8th grade middle school. She is funny, delightful, creative, soft, gentle, beautiful, full of life, quick-witted, independent, imaginative, intelligent. We have begun the process of becoming friends as well as mom-daughter, and I love every moment of life with her!

Youngest is 11, and will be going into 6th grade middle school. She is energetic, exciting, creative, eager, brilliant, happy, fun, loving, affectionate, gentle, thoughtful. She wakes in the morning so tender I call her My Sunshine Girl. Youngest is my special needs daughter, and I am so thankful God chose me to be her Mommy.

June 12, 2009, I married the man I wish I'd met 25 years ago. He's a good, ol' East Texas Country Boy ... he's my Country Man. He is tender-hearted, manly, firm, gentle, loving, tuned-in, aware, thoughtful, steadfast, dependable. He's my Best Friend, and although I have never given it much thought, he's become my Soul Mate. He adores me and loves me unconditionally. I am extremely blessed. My Country Man can live off the land, saddle a horse, work cattle, grow his own food, hunt and dress a deer, hunt and skin a squirrel or a rabbit or whatever can be eaten and then cook it, and he loves fishing and golf.

With my Country Man I've become Step Mom to his 13 year old son, and Dad's Wife to his two adult children. Step Son is full of life with a great sense of humor. He loves to make people laugh. He is extremely intelligent, curious, quick-witted, all-boy, energetic, fast-moving, and industrious. He loves his dad ... and he loves cars and cooking ... well, along with his video games. Step Son and Oldest are two months apart (Oldest is, well, still Oldest ;). Step Son is also going into 8th grade middle school, but in a neighboring district.

This summer my 20 year-old Niece has moved in with us to save money for her continuing college education. She will be moving out-of-state for her next step in this process in August. In the meantime, we are loving having her here. She is very special to me as I kept her a lot when she was four years old. She is beautiful, thoughtful, caring, generous, smart, dependable, and moves back and forth between being an adult and being a college-kid. I enjoy her friendship, and we're all going to cry buckets when she leaves at the end of the summer.

And last but certainly not least, even though she is the smallest, is our weiner-mix dog, Ruby. What a spoiled delight she is! Amazing how an animal can be so full of personality and become such a big part of our family. We love our Ruby :).
